Cool Summer Internship Started With Smart Escape

For the past two weeks, we’ve been meeting with students from the Faculty of Automatic Control and Computers and Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science. We’re really pumped up to talk to students about our Cool Summer Internship, the career opportunities and the perks at 4PSA. Internships are a tradition we’re really fond of here, and this is our 8th edition.

Students who applied to our internship at the LSAC IT&C Job Fair were in for a surprise. Five lucky winners got vouchers at a hip escape room in Bucharest. Since we’re after individuals with inquisitive minds, great attention to details and a strong interest in finding the best solution to a problem, we figured getting out from an escape room would be a great treat for such characters.

How I Built My First Plug-in for Hubgets Chat Service

A while ago, Vladut shared with you his first week of Cool Summer Internship at 4PSA. Now he’s back with the story of his first task.

Vladut, Frontend Intern @4PSA

Vladut, Frontend Intern @4PSA

Things went faster than I expected, because on my second day of internship I was already on a mission. Some call it a task, I call it a mission because the feeling I get here is that everything each of us does, whether as an intern or a senior Clouder, matters just as much.

David’s First Task as an Intern in 4PSA Cool Summer Internship

A little while ago, our intern Vladut was telling you in a blogpost about his first week at 4PSA. His article became so popular that we decided to share more of how our interns feel about working and learning at 4PSA. Today, we start a new series about their experiences where you’ll get to take a peek at what 4PSA Cool Summer Internship is all about.

David, one of our Apps Core interns, has a couple of things to say about his first task at 4PSA.

My First Week As Intern At 4PSA

Today we have a guest post written by Vladut, who is an intern at 4PSA’s Cool Summer Internship. Enjoy!

Even though the week starts on Monday around these parts, for me last week started on Sunday because – enthusiasm. Monday proved to be extremely fast-paced and it was dedicated entirely to us, the interns. We started to know each other a little, learning everyone’s names and forgetting them the next second 🙂 I was quite surprised to see that, despite all the stereotypes and urban legends surrounding software companies, the number of girls was almost equal to the number of guys.

We’re waiting for you at our booth ready to answer any questions you may have about Cool Summer Internship 2015.

Once you’ve grabbed your free t-shirt and a snack, take a chance in the Bike to the Cloud Challenge where you’ll hop on a contraption with pedals and a big screen.

Cool Summer Internship 2015 Kicks Off

“The best way to predict the future is to invent it.”

Alan Kay uttered this quote in a fit of passion at a 1971 meeting of PARC (Palo Alto Research Center), and it’s as true today as it was back then.

Here at 4PSA, we strongly agree with this mindset. This is why we make it our business to hire the brightest minds right out of school, nurture them, give them purpose, all while making the world a better place for everyone.

Goodbye Cloud Night! Hello Spring Races!

I’ve never had the experience of an internship. Back when I started, you’d work under somebody’s wing for a week a max and that was it. No real internships. And so, every time we have students in our office, like we did three days ago at Cloud Night, I get slightly curious and envious. 🙂 I wish I had that too. A company that would open their offices just for me, introduce me to its teams, show me what they do, treat me like a professional, pamper me a little bit. And all that for my own growth, which would eventually lead to the company’s growth. Looks like a pretty fair chance to me.

The 4PSA Padawan Adventure

We are students, we may not fight with lightsabers, but we definitely had an internship. A great internship, we might add. 🙂

We’re writing this from the orange open space office, where we worked with the 4PSA team and… we became part of it. Here, we had a great summer, we made friends and learned a lot of cool things. But, more importantly, we felt like we belonged to this large family.

Cool Summer Internship 2013 Problem Five

Time for drifter Johnny to finally go home and for you to relax, as this is our last problem in the 2013 Cool Summer Internship race. Thank you for sending us your solutions, it was surprising to see so many good ones we received!

We expect your proposals here by Thursday, May 2nd, 10:00 AM GMT. Do not forget about the rules.

Johnny Wants To Go Home

Johnny is drunk homesick. After having spent the past years on the Island of Despair, he has suddenly decided to sail home. For this, he managed to build a boat. During his sailing, he discovered that the boat is small and cannot withstand a storm. As if it wasn’t enough, Johnny drank too much rum and is afraid of getting lost. Definitely, not a good day for sailing.
