A UC Love Story: VoipNow & Cloud Communication Service Provider Belcentrale

It all started more than 10 years ago. In 2006, VoipNow Platform had just landed on the Unified Communications market. Dutch cloud communication service provider Belcentrale was a new telephony operator from Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

What seemed to be a simple crush grew into a long-term relationship built on respect, professionalism, and mutual trust. This article describes how this partnership unfolded across a decade, in the hope that you will put these insights to good use in your business.

How I Built My First Plug-in for Hubgets Chat Service

A while ago, Vladut shared with you his first week of Cool Summer Internship at 4PSA. Now he’s back with the story of his first task.

Things went faster than I expected, because on my second day of internship I was already on a mission. Some call it a task, I call it a mission because the feeling I get here is that everything each of us does, whether as an intern or a senior Clouder, matters just as much.

A Biased Advice To 4PSA Interns

Yes, I love interviewing interns. I’ve met people who were less than impressed about this fact, claiming that I was losing valuable time because interviewing interns is very straightforward. I strongly disagree, I find it somehow more challenging to discuss with a student than with an experienced senior executive. Bill Gates’ Boldest Predictions and How 4PSA Is Fulfilling Them

We’ve always heard about Bill Gates the geek versus Steve Jobs the visionary, but the reality is both had a bit of the other in them. In fact, Gates had probably more vision than Jobs had a geeky side. Here’s some compelling evidence of that.

After reading Gates’ 1999 book “Business @ the Speed of Thought,” Markus Kirjonen – who is a business student at Aalto University in Finland – did a writeup aggregating the Microsoft founder’s boldest predictions for the future. Hour of Code, Our Way

A couple of weeks ago, I received an invitation on Facebook to attend Hour of Code Romania. I don’t usually pay attention to such notifications, but this one was somehow different, as the name got me thinking 🙂 I know what you can do with a line of code, but what does an hour of code represent?! This was enough to trigger my curiosity, so I did a little research.

Follow Your Passion, Whether for IT or…Tea!

You know what they say, businesses made with passion are the ones that make a difference. It’s the case for any industry, which got us thinking: how does passion for other types of businesses differ from our passion for IT?  What is it that drives others?

To explore this notion of passion, we’ve set out to learn the stories of people who are putting a shoulder to a very different wheel than ours. As of September this year, we’re thus organizing a series of monthly internal meetups called Labors of Hercules*.
